Level-1 Desktop Engineer, full-time, salary w/ benefits (Beaver County)

General Function

Questeq’s Desktop Engineer is responsible for day-to-day break-fix and preventative maintenance on desktop devices, network peripherals and client software at one or more assigned client sites. Able to do network infrastructure support with direction and support from the Director of Technology, an experienced Level II Engineer or an Infrastructure Engineer.

Education/Technical Certifications

• Bachelors or Associates degree in technology related field (Highly desirable) or equivalent experience
• A+ & Network+ Certifications strongly recommended
• Must be able to pass Child Abuse History, Criminal, and Fingerprinting clearances

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

1. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in technically related field or equivalent experience
2. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
3. Must have excellent customer service skills.

Part Time - Help Desk Engineer Level 1

General Function

The Help Desk Engineers (Questeq frontline staff) are the first point of contact for administration, staff and faculty from area school districts and intermediate units who are seeking technical assistance for a variety of desktop and network issues.  Engineers serve as members of the Questeq Frontline by providing technical support over the phone and email, fulfilling required objectives outlined in full job description.
