Central Monitor's Architecture
Central Monitor's distributed
architecture forms the basis for its effectiveness and flexibility. The
data collection system is comprised of several components that work
together to make the system flexible, secure and distributed. By
leveraging an architecture that is based on industry standards, we are
able to collect data from networks and securely transmit this
information back to our Central Monitor Server. Our patent-pending data
collection system works in heterogeneous environments, including
Windows, Macintosh, Novell, RedHat Linux and Solaris, and can be
deployed in either an agent or network-based mode. This allows complete
monitoring of the infrastructure, including mobile devices like laptops.
The data
collection system is comprised of the following components:
Central Server
Software Agents
Probes
Each
component plays a critical
role in ensuring comprehensive coverage of your critical infrastructure devices
