Job Shadowing and Intern Programs

For several years Questeq has been helping students at their managed sites gain valuable experience in the field of Information Technology. Job shadowing allows students to experience "a day in the life" of a technology staff member by working side by side with them. Students are also given the responsibility of handling routine tasks to give them a taste of an average day at the office. Recently Jay Cellante, the Business Department Chair at Cornell School District, had this to say about our job shadowing program.

"I cannot thank you and your staff enough for assisting Bernardo in completing his job shadowing experience. You never fail to come through for Cornell. I know I can always count on you and your company to support Cornell and our students 100%."

In addition to job shadowing, student intern programs offer valuable experience for students as well as support to teachers in the classroom. At Riverside School District, Director of Technology Cameron Bettner has implemented a successful intern program. Six students currently help the technology department with a variety of tasks including delivering printer ink, troubleshooting and imaging computers. The students receive a grade at the end of each 9 week grading period for their performance. Students that excel get the chance to work over the summer on various technology projects.
