What’s the difference between what Questeq does and what I already have with my current team?

The difference between the support that most K-12 IT teams provide and Questeq ETM services is similar to the difference between a boat and a navy. With an in-house team, school districts receive support that’s limited by whatever skills, knowledge and capabilities are available from within that team. With Questeq ETM services, school districts are supported by a professional Questeq-managed on-site team AND a fleet of additional Questeq corporate-enabled services and resources, all dedicated to the district’s success. So rather than being limited by in-house capabilities, we help K-12 leaders reach higher and achieve their technology goals, both today and in the future.

Does hiring Questeq mean that all of my district’s current IT people have to be fired?

Definitely not. Questeq’s goal is to create the best possible team to support each district’s unique technology demands, and in many cases, existing team members can help us make that happen. While it’s true that in some circumstances, some current team members may no longer be a good fit for the district’s needs, we need talented people, so typically anyone who wants to be a part of the new team will be considered. Questeq can also support districts using hybrid teams, with Questeq leadership and a mix of both Questeq-employed and district-employed team members on site.

Does technology outsourcing automatically translate to cost savings for my district?

It depends. Cost efficiency is an important goal, but we also work to pursue other goals related to performance and responsiveness to the needs of the district’s end technology users. While the efficiencies and performance improvements Questeq provides almost always lead to some long-term cost reductions, the most dramatic benefit districts get from hiring Questeq is improvement in the value and impact that comes from technology-related spending.

If Questeq is hired, will district leaders still have a say in who’s on our local team?

Yes. The Questeq team members at each of our school district sites may be on our payroll, but they’re your team, so you’ll always have a part to play in decisions about who’s working in your schools.

Does Questeq serve education institutions that aren’t K-12 public school districts (such as private schools, CTCs, etc.)?

Absolutely. While most of our customers tend to be traditional K-12 school districts, Questeq ETM services are just as applicable in the private school and technical education center settings and we have long-standing, successful relationships supporting organizations of both types.
