Brian Guatteri Spotlight

Brian Guatteri, Level 1 Desktop Engineer at Peters Township School District, has been a Questeq Team Member for one year. His daily responsibilities include maintaining and repairing district technology including laptops, desktops, document cameras, projectors and tablet devices.The Middle School, where Brian spends most of his time, has over 600 computers which he is responsible for maintaining. Brian also works with the staff to train them on new technology and to work through issues they may be having with their current technology tools.

In addition Brian adds, “I also am assigned to the District Administrative Office to assist in any technological needs the administrators require. I setup for administrative meetings and resolve help desk tickets pertaining to the 51 computers in the building.”

A recent success for Brian was a summer project of imaging over 400 laptops and desktop computers. In addition, he also configured 30 new student laptops and 54 staff laptops with Windows 7. Due to his efforts, all staff members at the Middle School now have new laptops.

Jessica Azur, HR Manager for Questeq shares, “Brian has been a great addition to Questeq and the Peter’s Twp. team. He works hard with a strong focus on customer service which are two attributes that we look for in quality employees.”

Regarding educational technology trends, Brian sees the use of smart technologies (phones, tablets, slates and boards) being used in all areas of education. Brian has an Associate in Science Degree, Information Technology with a concentration in Network Administration from the Pittsburgh Technical Institute.
