Career Experience Through Internships & Summer Programs

For the last several years, Questeq has employed college interns and part time summer help to assist our schools and Network Operations Center. This year we have one intern, Shawn Fagan, from Clarion University and two part time employees for summer help.

Shawn is an Information Systems major who is also minoring in Computer Science. He is set to graduate from Clarion University in 2014. During the school year Shawn works for the university as a File Server Room Manager. For Questeq, Shawn is assisting our Network Operations Center with various projects including:

1. School district wireless installation
2. Server installation and configuration
3. Network Monitor management

Eric Lewis, the summer help at Moon Area School District, is a 2012 graduate from MASD. He will be responsible for the following:

1. Upgrading memory in laptops at Moon Area High School
2. Deploying system image to laptops at Moon Area High School
3. Set up and configuration of systems at Moon Area Middle School
4. Deploying system images for computers used by principals and administrative staff at Allard, Bon Meade, and Hyde elementary schools

The summer help at South Side Area School District, Eric Snyder, will be assisting the district in:

1. Un-boxing and setup of new equipment
2. Updating inventory lists
3. Disassembling existing computer labs and mobile laptop carts

This work experience is valuable to both Questeq and the high school and college students participating in the summer program.
